Japanischer Designschmuck
Schmuck – die poetische Verbindung von Form und Leere
Meine Schmuckarbeiten entstehen in einem kreativen Prozess, in welchem sich Einfachheit und Komplexität, Rationalität und Fantasie zu einem harmonischen Klang verbinden.
Mein gestalterisches Prinzip:
In der handwerklichen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Material – meist Silber oder Gold – wirken sowohl die Form als auch die Leere. Beide, Form und Zwischenraum, sind essenziell für die Gestalt wie die Ausdruckskraft jeder einzelnen Kreation.
Von dem Zusammenspiel dieser Pole lebt die Balance meiner Ringe und Ohrringe, der Broschen, Halsketten und Anhänger.
A poetic interplay of form and void
My work emerges from the simple and the intricate, the rational and the fantastic, fusing into a harmonious tune.
My creative principle:
As I engage with my chosen materials – mostly silver and gold – both form and the space in between are integral to the expressiveness and build of each piece.
The balance of all of my creations flows from the interplay between these two poles.
Seit 40 Jahren arbeite ich als Schmuck-Designerin.
In Japan geboren, ausgebildet sowohl in Tokio (Women’s College of Fine Arts) als auch in Pforzheim (Fachhochschule für Gestaltung), seit 30 Jahren in Deutschland tätig,
bin ich in beiden Ländern zu Hause.
In beiden Ländern finden Ausstellungen mit meinen Schmuckarbeiten statt.
Meine Arbeit spiegelt auch die Verbindung unterschiedlicher ästhetischer und kultureller Wahrnehmungen wider.
I have 40 years’ experience of my craft.
Born in Japan, educated in Tokyo (Women’s College of Fine Arts) and Pforzheim University (School of Design), and having worked in Germany for 30 years, I am at home in both countries and my pieces of jewelry are exhibited here and there.
Indeed, my work reflects the assimilation of these differing cultural and aesthetic perspectives.
Meine Schmuckstücke sind skulpturale Figurationen von kühler Eleganz und ruhiger, sinnlicher Kraft; sie folgen keiner aktuellen Mode, sondern besitzen eine zeitlose, klassische Note.
Ich hoffe, dass die Menschen, die sie tragen, etwas von der Leidenschaft und Empathie empfinden, die bei ihrer Entstehung beteiligt waren; im idealen Fall ist es eine persönliche Übertragung besonderer Art.
I do not follow fashion trends, and my pieces are sculptural figurations that strive instead for a timeless, cool elegance and an understated sensual power.
I hope the wearers of my works carry with them the love and passion that fuel their creation.
